Book Expo America 2013
So I’ve been submerged in the world of the book industry for the past two days at BEA 2013 and it has been wonderful. Exhausting, but wonderful.
So many authors, bloggers, publishers, librarians, teachers and others involved in the production and dissemination of books it does a heart good to see it.
I’ve gotten a little behind in my blog posts (promise I’ll have Flashback Friday up later today). But I think it has been worth it to connect in real time with so many.
Thank you to all those I met and got a chance to share my blogger card with! Thanks to those book publishers who put up with me being a crazy librarian who recommended THEM reading material (rather than the other way around).
A big squee for some of the authors I finally got to meet (Brandon Sanderson, Gordon Korman, Brandon Mull, Kendare Blake, David Adler, Audrey Penn, and Patrick Matthews to name just a few) A personal shout out for the Science Fiction Writers of America who are always happy to chat and give out water to thirsty librarians!
I’ve come back with piles of stuff to read, lots of upcoming possibilities for the blog and a whole host of delightful people I’ve gotten to meet!
Will recount more of specifics in upcoming weeks, for now, signing off!
